To the man who knows that when I'm wearing high heels, that
is when I would like him to open my door.
That when we do a two person carry, that I should never have to walk
backwards. That when he takes the 10
year old to the skate park and she breaks her arm for the second time, he doesn't really blame me for hanging up on
him, because I knew when the phone rang, that what had happened. That I don’t intentionally make things more
complicated. That we all have more fun
if I get a little competitive. That the
only way to be happily connected to
another independent, intelligent human being is to put the other person
first. To the man who knows that the way
he cares for me and takes care of me is what our girls will expect from whoever
they share their lives with. Happy Father’s Day Mike. Thank you for being such a hands on father
and thank you for always loving me the way I want our girls to be loved.
