Hallway

I love my job.  A lot.  In order to avoid the constant "stop running!" "walk!" or "don't dribble your ball!" during hall duty, I have started using positive comments to catch-kids-being-good. Well today, I did it. Two 9 year old boys were walking down the hall and out of my mouth at full voice I exclaimed "thank you for holding your balls!" I seriously did. Lucky they were 9 and not 10 or 11. They didn't even blink and I was able to make it to the other end of the hall before I hid in the admins office and laughed until I couldn't breathe.
